Post Nike Shoot...

So... the shoots all over, and we're back in the office. Done and dusted all in total of 6 days on and off. It's been absolutely amazing, the set looked very impressive - just how we pictured it. The director and his crew were fantastic and always on the ball - it's amazing what the art department can knock up when time is short.

We've had a lot of laughs, had to be thawed out from the cold on a daily basis and most of all got some great footage.

Now we're back, it's time to dive right into post production - but there's still a fair bit to do. Looking forward to the next step and of course the final film.

Once the production is a little further underway I'll see about getting some more shots up and a more detailed write up of what we got up to. For now though, please enjoy a few of the power terminals...

Hmmm well, i'm sure you will claim it as your own. How much input did you have in this one - or is it the pitch all over again.

Haha - oh it's Superman, you must just come on here to criticise. You must be really really bored.

Pitch all over again? I'm confused... does that mean come up with the core thought, present the idea and executions and get through the first round of the pitch, then work with some more experienced people and then win the pitch... I fail to see how that's a bad thing.

As for Nike, it was our concept, idea, execution, script whatever you want to hear, we were up against other teams, another WK office & AKQA. Naturally, there was a CD on the project who oversaw our work. Oh and the account team, but I guess that cheating in your books.

Please, I'm sure you can find something better to do, like single handedly save the world or something.

but if i remember rightly it wasn't actually your idea that won the pitch

I guess you must be doing ok at w&k for them to keep you on however i still fail to see how you got in their in the first place on the quality of your portfolio

Anon @ 17:04 - It was our concept. We just didn't write the TV script. That was written by two of the more senior guys here at WK.

Anon @ 17:06 - Look we're not saying it's the best 'folio by any means. There is always going to be someone better than you. We just made sure we listened, were driven, grafted and kept coming back with better ideas that were well received. The work on the site doesn't reflect everything we presented.

Half the job of a placement is about learning stuff, if our 'folio was beyond amazing then i'm sure we wouldn't have even had to do a placement in the first place.

Thanks for stopping by.

I feel that the criticism you two guys are receiving is totally unjust.

1: I think your book is actually good, light-years ahead of some of the books i have had put on my table.

2: You have done incredibly well to even get a placement at W+K, let alone be kept on, have an influence in a vital pitch, and get your work through for a NIKE TVC!!!

3: Guys, please do not take too much notice of the comments on here, even mine, but especially the negative one. You guys haven't put a foot wrong in this whole process. You have already achieved an incredible amount for a young team. And trust me, there are younger teams out there now reading this blog looking to you guys for inspiration. So i beg you, keep this blog going for your own sake and others!

4: Merry christmas.

Mike and Phil make a Nike ad.

Therefore Mike and Phil are definitely rubbish.

Simple maths really.

Hmmmm...

Yeahhh you said it 10:31

The others are full of shit.

Your blog is probably making a few middle-weight teams envious the pitch win and shooting a Nike commercial.

I don't get why people leave such shit, erroneous comments!?

Although, Mike, you do a great job of shutting their shit down right on the spot.

Thanks to a few of the above comments. It means a lot.
We're doing our best to make something of it. Only time will tell.

Merry Christmas!
